S02E15 खाण्डव दहन | The story of Khandava
महाभारत एक खोज के खण्ड 2 के अंतिम अध्याय में हम चर्चा कर रहे हैं आदि पर्व के अंतिम अध्याय खाण्डव दहन पर्व पर जिसे हाल ही के वर्षों में आलोचकों ने नरसंहार की संज्ञा दे कर कृष्ण-अर्जुन को निर्मम हत्यारा सिद्ध करने की कवायत में लग गए हैं। और आज के मापदंड से देखें तो खाण्डव दहन द्वारा वन व वन प्राणियों की निर्मम नाश न्यायसंगत तो जान नहीं ही पड़ती है। परंतु 5000 वर्ष के काल खंड में इसे एक महान कार्य कह कर सराहा गया था। आज का अध्याय इसी विरोधाभाष के बीच सत्य को तलाशने का प्रयास है। और यहाँ कुछ ऐसा है जिसे आप महाभारत का मूलमंत्र भी मान सकते हैं।
In the season finale, we disucss the last chapter of Adi Parva, the destruction of Khandava. People often compare Khandava destruction as a genocide and lament such a great destruction of forest and wild life. But 5000 years ago, it was deemed heroic of highest order. This episode attempt to unravell the mystry. And in the final moments of the episode are two small references that can be considered as the DNA or seed of Mahabharata.
